I’ve got a video of the unboxing which I’ll get up in a little bit. I need to find a decent MPEG4 Editor first.

I snagged 2 packs of the Halo ActionClix while at Gamestop tonight preordering the ArtFX Halo 3 Masterchief Statue.
They are pretty decent looking little figures, it just sucks you can’t pick what you get with a pack, only the figure at the top is viewable. The funny thing is, the 3 other figures are under like 4 layers of black plastic. There’s NO way you are going to find out what is in a pack.
The full set can be found on my Flickr page.

I’m sitting in my hotel room in the little beach town of Avila, CA. I’m trying to catch up on my gaming news from the past 2 days as I’ve been out of the loop. So Sony drops the PS3 price huh? And then releases a new model, which really isn’t a new model, and that comes out at the old price? Wha? Man they just can’t catch a break of good PR. They really made this elephant seal mad!
The wife and I have been driving down the coast. It’s been a gorgeous trip with some crazy sites to see. I’ve uploaded the photos to my now pro Flickr account.

I recently got to go to Seattle to visit FASA Studios to check out Shadowrun. Of course the flight out there couldn’t be any more nightmarish. Iwas originally supposed to fly from Allentown to Chicago to Seattle. Iwould have left at 10AM Eastern and go there at 2PM Pacific. Insteadmy flight was delayed to Chicago and I would have missed my connection,so then I was sent to Washington DC, unfortuanately this flight wasn’tuntil 2PM Eastern. So I sat around in LVI for 4 hours waiting for myflight, hopped the plane to DC only to find out my flight from DC toSeattle was cancelled. So I stood in line at customer service for anhour, and magically got put on a flight to Las Vegas to Seattle. Ifrantically ran across the airport to the new gate and got on the planeto Vegas just as the door closed. But alas…the end was not near. When I arrived at Vegas my flight was delayed an hour and a half. Soafter 4 hours in the Vegas airport I finally left and got to Seattlearound 1:15 AM Pacific. $50 and a Taxi Cab ride later I was at thehotel and sound asleep at 2 AM.

This is a totally awesome mod. Ben Heck created an XBox 360 laptop (basically a portable 360) completely from scratch. There’s even water cooling! Check the full thing out right here!
I guess I would say I don’t “mod” systems so much as completely rebuild them. This is a perfect example as everything in the Xbox 360 has been taken apart and reassembled, with LCD screen, in laptop form inside a custom case. Here are the specs:
1) Uses a 17″ wide (diagonal) 1280×720 progressive-scan LCD VGA monitor (for HD-level resolutions) Thus you can actually read the text in Dead Rising.
2) Water-cooled with custom-built radiator. Allows for a slimmer main body versus the mammoth heat sinks in a stock 360.
3) Built-in keyboard and Wi-Fi.
4) USB hub allows original number of 3 USB ports for user.
5) All-aluminum case, except for plastic keyboard / ring of light / screen control area.
6) Uses single customized “expanded” power supply brick for both screen and Xbox 360.
7) Breakout ports on back allow hookup to component TV, VGA monitor, sound system (analog or TOSlink) and even crummy composite video.
8) Size: 16.75″ x 10.75″ x 2.8″ Weight: 14 pounds (with water loaded)

For those of you living in a hole a little history lesson. Back at E3 Sony demonstrated a game called Genji 2. The presenter went on to say:
“This game is based on actual historic battles of Ancient Japan. Ok…so here we have the giant robotic enemy crab”
Well Comcast the cable company decided to include this in their latest advert. Priceless.
